About me

Katie Billings, M.S., CCC-SLP

Katherine (Katie) Billings, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and founder of Billings Speech & Language Therapy. I provide in-home, play-based pediatric speech and language therapy for children and families in Irvine and surrounding Orange County communities.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, Fullerton, and my Master's degree from Maryville University. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work in outpatient pediatric clinics, schools, and early intervention settings. While each experience shaped me as a clinician, they all reinforced one thing: children learn best when therapy feels meaningful, engaging, and connected to their everyday lives.

That belief is what led me to create Billings Speech & Language Therapy. I chose to provide in-home services because I love being able to support children in the environments where they feel most comfortable and confident. Whether we're playing with favorite toys, navigating daily routines, or finding opportunities for communication during the moments that make up a child's world, I strive to make therapy functional, personalized, and enjoyable.

My areas of focus include early language development, speech sound disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and childhood motor speech disorders. I am passionate about helping children build the communication skills they need to express themselves, connect with others, and participate more fully in the world around them.

My dedication to this work is also deeply personal. Growing up with a younger brother with autism gave me an early understanding of how important communication, connection, and individualized support can be. Watching his journey helped shape the clinician I am today and continues to inspire my commitment to helping every child find their voice and build the connections that make life meaningful.
